Sunset at Karekare

Sunset at Karekare

This picture was taken on a mild autumn’s evening while sitting on a sand dune watching the sun set. I used a 'Fuji S1000fp' digital camera to capture the image on one of New Zealand most beautiful west coast beaches, Karekare.

I chose to submit this photo because I think It has a magical quality about it. The warm orange glow of the sun through the clouds is reflected on the mirror perfect lagoon. The contrast between the dark surroundings and the warm golden glow from the clouded sun is what in my opinion really makes this picture 'pop'.

Amazing NEW

Wow… That is an amazing photograph and I am actually amazed to see that much shades of red in the sky. I have once got a chance to capture a similar one, but that one had more of blue shades.
