in West Auckland
Under October events you find interesting things that are
happening in the west of Auckland.
Each suburb has its own calendar full of activities. Spread over the year are bigger yearly events specific to region and communities and smaller events organised by community groups. Some of them are free to raise funds for a good cause, others encourage family fun time, introduce musical sounds or theatre plays. There are many more reasons to gather and celebrate. This is the month of the Indian 'Diwali Festival' that is celebrated in many communities around Auckland. The 'Labour Weekend' then starts officially off the swimming season.
Altogether upcoming events reflect the multicultural background of the people living here.
