Hot Summer Day At Karekare Falls
Definitely it is a perfect place to spend a hot summer day - Karekare Falls.
Five minutes walk away from the Karekare car park, to the left off Lone Kauri Road is this small oasis. It is an idyllic place that is surrounded by native bush. The sun warms the place in the morning and shade comes during the early afternoon.
A picnic table enjoys the protection of a wide branching pohutukawa tree. The waterfall pond offers its cooling waters during the summer season while birds and cicadas are heard.
Without doubt it is understandable that this place is often chosen as the special location to exchange wedding vows. The Auckland Regional Council can help there.
