A sure recipe for a day filled with fun activities for kids is spending it around animals or stars. Auckland has some great places. They all take a different approach.
There is the Auckland Zoo with many exotic animals. At Kelly Tarlton stroll through the tunnels and observe presented deep sea life. Ambury Park, a working farm, in the south west of Auckland gives farming insights and let children interact close with farm animal like sheep, lambs, guinea pigs, pig, horses, cows, turkey and many more. With a dolphin discovery tour the wildlife encounter with dolphins gets to a new level. Meanwhile the Auckland observatory introduces space secrets to children and offers star gazing in the evening.
These are the fun activities Karim and Mariam enjoyed very much. Hope you have as much fun with these children activities as they had.

23 Tamaki Drive, Orakei Auckland Open daily from 9:30am to 5:30pm
The Antarctic Encounter and Underwater World is named after Kelly Tarlton whose vision was to share his love for the ocean. His vision grew into a major attraction enabling children and adults a close up view to oceanic sea life. Today a successful breeding program takes care for the fish and endangered penguin population to grow.
Children love watching the interaction between caretaker and stingrays or penguins so plan your visit around the times the encounter takes place.
Adventurous teenagers or adults can even book a dive or snorkel session in the deep sea tanks.
The children loved the Dolphin discovery tour we took part in the Bay of Islands. Spellbound they watched these elegant sea creatures interacting with one another. Observing their playful jumps is simply amazing.
Our camera was overwhelmed to capture photos as beautiful as this one here. Lucky there are photographers like Gerard Soury who are more experienced to obtain a precious keepsake.
