The next distinctive feature is the Tonle Sap, the great lake, during the rain season it can almost expand 10 fold its size of 2,605 square metre during the dry season much of it is recognized as biosphere reserve.

This area is also the heartland of Cambodia’s rice production, the main crop cultivated.
